The Big South 5K Road Race serves as a fundraiser for middle school athletic programs in the Charlotte area, including schools in Mecklenburg, Union and York. Since the inaugural race in 2010, the race has raised nearly $175,000 for middle school athletics.
Race registration comes with a custom Big South 5K shirt! Age group winners receive a medal.
