
Strawberry Sprint & Stroll 5k
A Fort Mill favorite returns for a fifth year, kicking off the Town of Fort Mill South Carolina Strawberry Festival's schedule of events. The Strawberry Sprint and Stroll 5K and Fun Run will take place in Fort Mill's historic downtown corridor on Saturday, April 26.
The course begins and ends on Main Street Fort Mill and includes scenic views along nearby residential streets. The race will begin at 9:00 am, starting with the 5k race followed by the one-mile fun run at 10:00 am. The race will conclude with a Runner’s village, including local merchants, food trucks, kids’ zone, music and a festive atmosphere. Berry B. Good, Fort Mill’s cheerful strawberry mascot, and the reigning Strawberry Queens will also be part of the festivities.

Carolina Thread 8hr / 12 hr
Welcome to the inaugural Carolina Thread 8 Hour and 12 Hour race. Put on by BALS (Be Active. Live Spontaneous.) Racing, we will be utilizing part of the iconic Carolina Thread Trail. You will run a beautiful 2 mile out/back (4 mile circuit) with approximately 210 feet of gain/loss. The 8 hour option gives you a great opportunity to accomplish your first 50K or set a PR. The 12 hour option gives you a stellar opportunity to tackle your first 50 miler or set a new PR. Bring a friend or two and enjoy the beautiful spring weather on your journey.

HEARTest Yard + Showmars 5k
With great privilege, the HEARTest Yard and Showmars Restaurants join forces to host the ninth annual HEARTest Yard + Showmars 5K presented by LifeShare Carolinas! With a like-minded mission to support Levine Children’s Hospital, we’ve teamed up to maximize our impact and fundraising potential to meet the needs of and care for as many children affected by congenital heart diseases and disorders as possible.

Meck Mile
The Meck Mile presented by Albemarle brings people together from all across Charlotte to run, walk, skip or dance their way through the streets surrounding Memorial Stadium. This race gives participants and spectators alike the chance to hit the streets and see the city we call home from an entirely new perspective.

The 5K Cannoli Run is part of the St. Philip Neri Italian Festival.
This is the 28th Year of St. Philip Neri’s Italian Festival that runs from Thursday May 15th to Saturday May 17th – Food, Live Music, Vendors, Expanded Kid Zone, Live and Silent Auctions and a Beer Garden.

SwimMAC is the top ranked USA Swimming Club in the country for the third year in a row, but the local impact to Charlotte-area families is even greater. Our Swim School teaches roughly 15,000 swim lessons annually to make sure children in Charlotte are safe in the water and learn to love swimming. As a youth sports non-profit, fundraising is key to making a continued impact as it supports our organization's efforts to provide quality coaching and an excellent training environment, as well as fund financial aid programs and community outreach efforts. This Ballantyne Road Race tradition continues on Saturday, April 5, 2025, marking the 21st annual Run! Ballantyne 8K, 5K and Fun Run presented by Northwood Office. With over 1,400 participants in 2024, this YMCA signature event is one of the largest road races in the Ballantyne area. Hit the pavement and make your footprints count in support of the YMCA Better Us Campaign that gives youth an opportunity to play, learn and grow in a safe and thriving environment.

DON'T MISS THE 48th ANNUAL COME SEE ME ROAD RACES THIS YEAR - FAST COURSE, AWESOME MEDAL AND FUN RACE EXPERIENCE!!!!!
Fun Run (7:30am) – Approximately 1 mile run around Winthrop Lake. No pets are allowed however strollers are allowed. FREE, registration preferred but not required. Fun Run participants, 12 and under, will receive a customized participant medal.
5K and 10K (8:00am) – USATF-certified 5K (3.1 mile) course and USATF-certified 10K (6.2 mile) are on paved streets and bike paths passing through beautiful residential areas. No pets are allowed however strollers are allowed. Water stop at 1.5 mile mark in the 5K race and mile 2 and mile 4 in the 10K race. Refreshments and snacks available for all participants. *All participants must be off the course by 9:30. Walkers are encouraged to participate in the 5K or must walk the 10K under a 13 minute pace.
Register by March 31 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Redemption Run 5K
Proceeds from sponsors, donors, and participant registrations will be donated to various ministries on the front lines of anti-trafficking and substance abuse efforts.

Communication Counts 5k
On Saturday, March 29, 2025, Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center will host its 6th annual Communication Counts 5k timed race and fun run at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte. We will also be bringing back our Kids Dash and virtual race options. These events raise critical funds that provide access to superior speech-language and hearing services that empower and transform lives to anyone in need in our community.

This special event not only raises awareness about Down syndrome but also brings together the community to celebrate and support individuals with Down syndrome around World Down Syndrome Day (March 21).

Christina Latini Memorial 8K
Please join us as we celebrate Christina and support Operation Sweet Tooth at Grand Oak Elementary School.
As a parent, losing a child is unfathomable and every day we mourn our baby and question how this could happen to her. To help our grieving process and keep Christina’s spirit alive, we created a non-profit organization called Operation Sweet Tooth. Our mission is to honor Christina by supporting the youth of our community. Our goal is to raise funds, toys, personal items, and school supplies for the children in our community who are sick, impoverished, displaced, homeless, or just need their spirits lifted. It’s of great importance that we turn our pain into purpose, and support children in their times of need, reminding them there are strangers out there who do care.

Wildman Half Marathon & 5k
The Lake Norman Half Marathon Wildman & 5K takes place on wide open roads on a FAST course in Mooresville, NC. The Wildman Half Marathon & 5k benefits the Human Health Project is an organization issues grants and donates non-perishable food items to local food shelters. We ask all athletes to bring a non-perishable food item.

YMCA Corporate Cup 5K, Half Marathon & Half Marathon Relay

The race starts and finishes at Truist Field in Uptown Charlotte and is perfect for runners and walkers of all levels - beginner to expert - with a 5K and half marathon distance. But that's not all! Girls on the Run of the Greater Piedmont 5K
Welcome community runners to the Fall 2024 Girls On The Run of the Greater Piedmont 5K!
Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a non-competitive after-school running program that includes social emotional life skills and lessons for girls in grades 3rd-8th. GOTR envisions a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams! This is made possible by AMAZING volunteer coaches that are there every step of the way for 10 weeks with their girls encouraging them and running along side them so they can confidently cross the finish line at their End of the Season 5K!
We strive to make our program accessible to all girls no matter what their financial limitations may be. All proceeds from this race go towards our financial assistance to be able to cover the cost of any girls who wants to participate in Girls on the Run!
We are pleased to announce that this year's race will include anyone from the community (not associated with Girls on the Run) to be a part of our race! There are 100 community runner/walker spots available, so sign up fast before they are gone. We are excited to integrate the community with our Girls on the Run 5K. All community runners will receive a GOTR 5K T-shirt and GOTR medal with registration.

Strides for Shelter 5K Run + Walk
Join us for the 2024 Strides for Shelter 5K Run + Walk! Our 2024 beneficiary organization is Home Again Foundation.
Home Again Foundation, established in 2018, is dedicated to providing sustainable, affordable housing along with supportive services for the homeless and those who are at risk of becoming homeless. Residents in their communities are automatically enrolled in supportive services based on an individualized self-sufficiency assessment and service plan. The rent for these units is at or below market value with all utilities included. The proceeds from this year's race will fund the construction of a fully furnished one-bedroom, one-bath cottage for a homeless veteran in Home Again's second development on a 2-acre site in Mecklenburg County.
